Course Description

At Avon College London, you will join a diverse, international learning environment where language development is guided by a structured syllabus aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Our courses are designed to support learners at various levels, focusing on the key language skills, domains, and competencies relevant to your current ability and learning goals.

Programme Objectives:
This course is designed to strengthen your overall language and communication abilities, equipping you to study, work, or live more confidently in a global setting. As well as improving your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, you will also develop greater intercultural awareness and the confidence to communicate effectively across different cultural and professional contexts.

For individuals seeking to extend their visa for family partners, parents, or further leave to remain, as well as those applying for indefinite leave to remain, skilled worker, or health and care worker visas, proficiency in English is essential. To meet the language requirements set by the UK government, applicants must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at least at CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening. This ensures that individuals have the necessary language skills to communicate effectively in everyday situations, understand basic instructions, and engage in simple conversations.

At our A1, A2, and B1 English classes, we offer comprehensive preparation tailored specifically for those seeking to meet the SELT requirements. Our experienced instructors provide focused instruction on speaking and listening skills, covering essential topics and vocabulary needed for the exam. Through interactive lessons, practice activities, and mock tests, students gain confidence and proficiency in English, preparing them to successfully pass the SELT exam at the required CEFR level.

By enrolling in our English classes, applicants can enhance their language skills and increase their chances of visa approval. Our goal is to support individuals in achieving their immigration goals by providing quality language instruction that meets the standards set by UK Visas and Immigration. With our dedicated teachers and proven curriculum, students can feel confident in their ability to pass the SELT exam and move forward with their visa applications.
